Electrical Design Engineer
We are looking for a motivated and experienced " Electrical Engineering", is responsible for developing electrical devices and testing them for safety and efficiency. Their duties include managing the manufacturing process for new electrical equipment, using design software to produce schematics and overseeing the installation process of their designs.
Responsibilities

Perform load calculations, circuit and conductor sizing calculations, protective device coordination studies, arc flash calculations, etc.

Complete power distribution plan designs, single-line drawings, grounding plans, panel schedules, cable schedules, cable tray layouts, lighting plans, control narratives, control schematics, interconnect diagrams, heat trace drawings, etc.

Develop equipment data sheets, bill of materials, submittal reviews and approvals, etc.

Cost and schedule estimating and fee proposal development.
- Lead and mentor junior team members.
- Assist with marketing and business development of Company services.

Additional duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- State of Alaska Professional Engineer (PE).
- 5-7 years of experience with increasing levels of responsibilities.
- Experience in the design of power generation and distribution for 480V and 15kV systems.
- Proficiency in standard engineering design and office software (AutoCAD, ETAP, Excel, etc.).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Arctic engineering design experience.
- Clean driving record and able to pass a drug test.
- Business development experience preferred.
- Professional Project Management (PMP) certification preferred.
